Congratulations to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris!

This is certainly a day worth celebrating — not only has Trump’s dangerous, failed presidency reached its end, but the Biden-Harris administration can now get to work rebuilding our democracy.

It is incredibly refreshing to once again have a President that actually cares about the welfare of the people in this country. In this administration, so many bold, progressive ideas can become reality.

Biden has promised in his first 100 days to:

• Reverse Trump’s cruel family separation border policy that Ron Johnson defended
• Raise the minimum wage to $15/hour and bring more dignity to the working class
• Pass another necessary COVID-19 relief bill that will provide more financial support to millions of struggling Americans
• Prioritize the environment and fighting climate change

These policies are just the beginning, and to move forward after these disastrous past four years, we need to continue pushing for legislation that will move our country down a more progressive path.

I look forward to joining the Senate in 2022 and providing support to Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in continuing the recovery of this country and creating a new era that works for all Americans.
