Hello,
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were just sworn in as our nation’s President and Vice President.
We’re also welcoming Alex Padilla, California’s first Latino Senator, Jon Ossoff, Georgia’s first Jewish Senator and the youngest sitting Senator, and Reverend Raphael Warnock, Georgia’s first Black Senator to Washington.
This is an historic moment, folks, and one that could not have happened without your steadfast commitment to progress, democracy, and ensuring America represents the best of who we are.
Today, I am filled with so much hope for the future. For the first time in a decade, Democrats have won the House, the Senate, and the White House. Now is our best chance to deliver on the change we promised and make this country a better place for everyone.
I’m determined to spend every minute working alongside my colleagues to pass meaningful legislation for our communities. But first, we need to know what issues you want us fighting for.
Will you take two minutes (that’s it!) to fill out my January survey and let us know what you want to see accomplished in the first 100 days of Biden’s presidency?
I know how difficult these times have been for so many families across our nation — from economic recession to a dangerous pandemic to a violent right-wing attempt to overthrow our government, we’ve been through a lot.
Yes, we have a long road ahead of us, but I’m confident we’re on the right track.
Thanks so much for adding your voice today.
