When my husband and I were trying to decide where we wanted to raise our family, choosing Kansas was a no-brainer. The schools were second to none, the economy was strong, and the sense of community we felt was unparalleled.

Unfortunately, in recent years that hasn't been the case. After eight years under the Brownback/Colyer administration, our schools were underfunded, our economy was reeling from the failed tax experiment, and our communities were dwindling.

I have dedicated my career to fighting for our state. As your governor, I will continue fighting for our future and working to rebuild Kansas. From funding our education system to balancing our state's budget, we're on the right track to rebuild Kansas -- but there's still work to be done.
