Inauguration Day is a fresh start for our leaders and for democracy | Email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser [link removed]

Friend —

Inauguration Day is always a powerful demonstration of the majesty of American democracy. Even still, that democracy isn’t guaranteed. And our mission here at New Politics is premised on the belief that because American democracy is so fragile, it requires each new generation of leaders to act as its stewards. On this historic day, six members of our Leadership Council shared their reflections in USA Today about how servant leaders can be the ones leading the effort to redefine what it means to be an American and to usher in a new era of civic unity.

If you believe, just as the members of our Council wrote in their column, that “our country requires leaders who recognize that what unites us is our shared responsibility as citizens to act as both beneficiaries and guardians of this 244-year-old experiment,” we hope you’ll contribute to our efforts as we continue to recruit and empower more of these very leaders.
