Today, January 20, 2021, is the day we've worked for and waited for what feels like a long time. Today marks the beginning of a new, hopeful chapter in our country.

At 12 p.m. today, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris take the oath of office to become our President and Vice President. After they take their oaths of office, President Biden will deliver his inaugural address laying out his vision to defeat the pandemic, build back better and heal our nation.

I'm in Washington D.C. heading to the Inauguration today, and hope you'll watch and share my message from Facebook this morning:

It has not been an easy journey and we have a lot of work to do to heal our nation. From pandemic recovery, to repairing the economy to strengthening our democracy, to returning to civil dialogue even when we disagree, we have our work cut out for us.

But as of today, we have the experienced leadership team in place to lead us forward. I am enormously hopeful for the future. Thank you for all the work you have done over the last four years to get us here today.

In solidarity,

Jim
