My district and communities across the country are celebrating today as we start a new era with Joe Biden as our President and Kamala Harris as our Vice President.

Let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished together by tuning into today’s inauguration. Coverage starts at 10:30am ET and the swearing-in ceremony will be at noon ET.

Thanks to our shared work, we now have a new executive branch, with Kamala Harris breaking so many precedents: She’s the first woman, the first Black person (and woman!), and the first South Asian American person (and woman!) to be elected Vice President. Yes!

AND thanks to tireless organizers and voters in Georgia, today marks the beginning of our new Senate majority, with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris as our new tie-breaker in the Senate. With these historic wins, we can now move our progressive agenda forward in the House and Senate!

We’ve got lots of work ahead, but it’s important to take some time to reflect on our accomplishments and celebrate how far we’ve come.
