Dear Defender,

Today is a day of transition in America – not just for you and me, but for
wolves, bears, whales and so many more of the animals we love.

As the Biden administration rolls out a new set of priorities for America’s
wildlife and habitat, it’s critical that we begin the work of reversing the
damage of the last few years right away.

It’s up to each of us to hold this new administration accountable for making
sure our natural legacy is in good hands: Reach out to your elected officials and tell them to support action to protect
and restore our wild world!

Make this a day of action by standing strong for wildlife. Sign here to urge
your senators and representatives to support urgent action under the Biden
administration to protect wildlife and habitat!

We won’t be able to undo the damage of the past few years overnight. But today
can mark the beginning of the movement toward recovery. We’re calling on our
elected officials to chart a new course for wildlife by supporting actions such
as:

* Immediately rejoining the Paris Climate Accord;
* Reversing Trump era efforts to undermine our bedrock wildlife protection
laws, including the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy
Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act; and,
* Putting a stop to the use of federal lands for cruel and barbaric hunting
methods, like brown bear baiting and other abuses of vulnerable animals.

Urge Action for Wildlife
[[link removed]]The wildlife you and I love faced tremendous threats even before Donald Trump
took office. The climate change crisis continues to threaten animals around the
world. Dangers like habitat loss, pollution, ocean acidification and overfishing
are just some of the reasons that up to a million species are now in danger of
extinction.

The future of those animals is now in our hands. We need to act quickly – tell your elected officials to do their part in saving
our wild world by supporting immediate action for threatened and endangered
wildlife and habitat!

Defender , please take the next step with us today by adding your name to the growing
list of wildlife advocates demanding action to save our species before it’s too
late.

Sincerely,

Jamie Rappaport Clark
