NRDC Activist,

Despite the extremely troubling attacks on our democracy by President
Trump and some of his most ardent supporters over the last two weeks, Joe
Biden and Kamala Harris will be inaugurated today.

And there is no time to waste when it comes to protecting our environment
and health. We’re facing a global climate crisis and reeling from four
years of relentless attacks under President Trump.

The first months of the Biden-Harris administration will be absolutely
critical — that's why [ [link removed] ]I'm signing NRDC's petition calling on the new
administration to take key actions to reverse Trump’s damage to our
environment during their first 100 days in office. Will you join me by
adding your name too?

Mitch Bernard lays out NRDC’s priorities for the first 100 days in his
email below. They include rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, restoring
protections for Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National
Monuments, blocking oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge,
reversing Trump’s rollbacks to the Endangered Species Act, and more.

President-elect Biden needs to know that there are thousands of us
watching and waiting for him to make our environment a priority starting
on day one. Our climate, health, and wild places cannot wait. [ [link removed] ]Please
add your name to NRDC’s petition today.

Robert Redford

NRDC Activist,

As our nation continues to reel from the despicable assault on our Capitol
earlier this month, I am hopeful that better days are ahead — tomorrow,
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as President and Vice
President of the United States.

The inauguration is the first step toward repairing the damage Trump and
his allies inflicted on the foundations of our democracy, and it kicks off
a new, urgent era of climate action.

I am full of hope, but I also know we have a lot of work to do to reverse
Trump's destructive environmental legacy — and it will be met with deep
resistance from powerful corporate polluters and their cronies in
Washington.

At the same time that we act to shore up our democracy, we have to raise
our voices NOW and push the new administration to address the climate
crisis and roll back Trump's worst attacks in its first 100 days,
beginning with the priorities below.

your name now to our petition calling on President-elect Biden and Vice
President-elect Harris to take bold action for our climate, health, and
environment during their first 100 days in office.

predominately low-income and communities of color — that are
disproportionately impacted by pollution and climate change

* Protecting nature, wildlife, and ecosystems:

* Reverse Trump's rollbacks of the Endangered Species Act and
efforts to gut vital protections for endangered and imperiled
species like gray wolves and others

Our calls to action are ambitious, no doubt about it. After four years of
relentless attacks on our environment, communities, and health, and a
planet teetering on the brink of climate catastrophe, anything less would
be irresponsible.

The forces that Trump unleashed against our democracy will not disappear.
The same people who have ingested the lies about the election results
espouse the lie that climate change is a hoax.

While Trump assaulted our democracy, he tried to lay waste to our planet.
As he leaves office, there’s a great deal to repair.

[ [link removed] ]This is why I'm asking you to join NRDC in calling on the new
administration to act immediately to reverse some of Trump's most
destructive attacks on our environment and public health and to enact bold
climate action.

The challenges ahead of us are daunting — but progress is within reach.
Here at NRDC, we're ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. We hope
you are, too.

Sincerely,

[1]Mitch
