Hi,

Today is the day we've been awaiting for a long time. Today Joe Biden and Kamala Harris take their oaths of office and become our new President and Vice President. Today democracy wins.

It hasn't been an easy journey. We have a lot of work to do to heal our nation, from getting past the COVID pandemic to repairing the economy to strengthening our democracy.

But as of today we'll have the right team in place to do it. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- Joe Biden has the experience and vision to lead our country. I'm thrilled to be in the Senate to help him get the American people the support they need and I’m honored to be a part of the inauguration ceremony today as he is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.

We've been through a lot in the last few years. And we wouldn't be here today, watching Joe and Kamala get sworn into office, without your hard work. People like you made today happen -- and I won't ever forget that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in our nation and our democracy.
