“I believe that the crisis is of enormous severity and we've got to move as rapidly as we can,” Mr. Sanders said in an interview with the New York Times. “Underline the word aggressive. Start out there.”

Just weeks ago, Mitch McConnell refused to even put legislation for the $2,000 checks on the Senate floor for consideration, preventing the bill from passing.
