I have good news:

Today, on the last full day of Donald Trump's presidency, we won our 39th lawsuit against his administration.

A panel of three federal judges ruled that the administration violated the law when it attempted to repeal and replace President Obama's Clean Power Plan with the dirty and expensive “Affordable Clean Energy Rule.”

This thinly veiled attempt to loosen restrictions on coal power plants, while doing nothing to address carbon pollution or climate change, marks one of the administration's most dangerous attempts to ravage our environment. President Trump’s plan incentivized the use of dirty coal rather than addressing climate change.

I am proud that more than half of the lawsuits we brought against the Trump administration concern our environment. I will continue to fight for clean air for all Washingtonians.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s own analysis said that eliminating President Obama’s Clean Power Plan and replacing it with President Trump’s plan would result in increased carbon dioxide in states like Washington for years to come.

I’m proud to say that we stopped the Trump administration again. This is a major victory for our climate and for the health of all Washingtonians.

The health and wellbeing of Washingtonians must always come first — and protecting the environment is critical to that mission. Do you stand with me on this important issue?

YES NO

As the People’s Lawyer, I will continue to hold accountable anyone who chooses illegal giveaways to the fossil fuel industry.

Thank you for making your voice heard,

Bob
