** Politics: Buck critical of ‘rushed’ impeachment
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Fort Morgan Times ([link removed]) : The U.S. House’s historic impeachment of President Donald Trump largely was decided among party lines Wednesday, with 10 Republicans and the full Democratic delegation voting in support.

A process Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Rifle, called a “charade” and Rep. Ken Buck, R-Windsor, defined it as undermining the Constitutional process and was ultimately opposed by the three Colorado Republicans in the House and supported by all four Democrats.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
[link removed]
Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for peace, service, justice, & courage.

As Americans, we are all striving to follow in his footsteps & peacefully come together around a common American goal of freedom & opportunity for all.

“Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.”

** Seven Things to Know about Tony Blinken, Joe Biden’s Pick for Secretary of State
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Breitbart: ([link removed]) Here are seven key facts about him that could be addressed:

1. Blinken pushed the “Russia collusion” hoax on CNN. Blinken is one of several members of Joe Biden’s foreign policy team who endorsed the destructive conspiracy theory that Trump was in cahoots with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He told ([link removed]) CNN in 2017: “The president’s ongoing collusion with Russia’s plans is really striking, intentional or not.” He added that Trump’s criticism of the FBI or Special Counsel Robert Mueller meant he was “doing Mr. Putin’s bidding.”

2. Blinken is weak on China. Blinken said as recently as September that it would be a “mistake” to “fully decouple” from China — despite China’s abuse of trade agreements, its aggression in the western Pacific, its human rights abuses, and its geopolitical ambitions. In July, Blinken promised that Biden would “engage China and work with China, in areas where our interests clearly overlap.” He included “climate change” and “global health and pandemics” as areas for cooperation.

** Biden ending Keystone pipeline would kill thousands of American jobs
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Fox News ([link removed]) : According to the Keystone XL website ([link removed]) , the project, initially proposed more than a decade ago, would sustain about 11,000 U.S. jobs in 2021 – including 8,000 union jobs – and generate $1.6 billion in gross wages.
....
"The Keystone XL pipeline also represents tens of thousands of good-paying jobs that the American economy needs right now," Kenney said. "That is why major American labour unions who supported President-elect Biden’s campaign strongly back the project, as do First Nations who have signed partnership agreements, and all state governments along the pipeline route."

** Minority leader says Democrats’ arbitrary rule change mutes Republican voices in legislature
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

Complete Colorado: ([link removed]) The Republican minority leader in the Colorado House of Representatives says a new procedural rule will not only negatively impact constituents, but it was done without any input from House Republicans, a power grab that is becoming more common with Democrats as they control every office at the state level.

House Rule 44, which governs the duties of state officers and employees, was changed to allow for a “blank check to introduce and pass all manner of bills,” House Minority Leader Hugh McKean said in a news release.

** We must be brave and speak our minds
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

Denver Gazette: ([link removed]) So, I shall do with this column what I have always done; what my parents taught me to do; what serious responsible Americans do. I shall deal with potential attacks. I shall continue to speak in this column, on my social media and before audiences, and commit to advancing dignity and liberty in this country.

I shall draw upon stories of brave Americans, throughout history and now, who have spoken up when told to stand down. I shall “look for the helpers,” as Mr. Rogers says; the folks who are brave and not afraid of the cancel mob. I shall rely upon the support of those who will catch me if I fall. If, in the view of some perverse mind, I use the wrong word, I shall face the cancel crew. Our times require — indeed, beg for — sober, mature, dispassionate leadership. I demand nothing less from myself.
