Throughout my campaign for president, I asked supporters to imagine this day, and it was often a source of hope for Americans who felt like they had been forgotten or attacked these last four years.

The last four years have been difficult to say the least. Donald Trump and his administration have attacked our institutions, used their offices to benefit themselves, incited violence, and brought our democracy to the brink of ruin.

As President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris take the oath of office tomorrow, it's a good time to remind ourselves what we are hopeful for in the years ahead — for our families, our communities, and for our nation. We face unprecedented challenges, but I'm confident in our ability to rise and meet the moment.
