John,
With the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine underway across New Mexico, I wanted to give you an update on where things stand:
The vaccine is now available to more people who may be at higher risk of becoming ill. That list includes New Mexicans age 75 or older, New Mexicans with underlying health conditions and frontline essential workers. Additionally, we are continuing to administer the vaccine to health care workers, first responders and nursing home residents and staff.
The best thing that you can do right now is sign up to be notified when the COVID-19 vaccine will be available to you. It's simple to do: You can create a profile online at vaccinenm.org with your relevant health and employment information, and we'll let you know when you're able to receive a vaccine.

I know these past ten months have been hard - and we've got to keep doing what we can to take care of one another. Vaccinating as many people as we can, as quickly as we can, will be an important part of that.
But it's not the only thing we need to do: Whether or not you've been vaccinated, I'm personally counting on you to continue wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and doing your part to slow the spread. You can find the latest COVID-19 updates, county by county, by checking here.

I'm so grateful for everything you've already done: We must act together to keep our communities healthy. And truly, there's no community I'd rather be a part of than Nuevo Mexico. Please stay safe.
Michelle Lujan Grisham
