Thank you for your continued support for critical investments in the South Shore Rail Line and our transportation infrastructure that will help create jobs and improve our region’s quality of place.
Last month, the Chicago South Shore and South Bend Railroad received over $2 million in federal funds from the Department of Transportation to assist with safety improvements. Also, the South Shore Rail Line submitted a formal request for a project rating to receive federal funds for 14 miles of double track to reduce travel times and increase the frequency of services.
