As someone who is deeply invested in our shared work, we hope you will join us as we commemorate the 5th annual National Day of Racial Healing.
Racism affects all of us, regardless of our backgrounds or circumstances.
We live in a world born from historic injustices that have led to broken systems and division, where we don’t know one another and our shared history. To ensure our communities are free of systemic injustice, we must come together to heal, explore and unravel the deeply held racial biases of the past and present.
Commemorate the day by joining us for a virtual panel discussion TONIGHT, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Advancement Project National Office’s special conversation ‘Where Do We Go from Here: Racial Healing in 2021,’ will feature:
- Judith Browne Dianis, Executive Director of Advancement Project National Office
- Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of NAACP
- Fawn Sharp, President of National Congress of American Indians
- Janet Murguía, President & CEO of UnidosUS
- Rev. William H. Lamar IV, Pastor, Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington, DC

Also, explore the must-read blog posts of Chris Bufford and Flavia Jimenez as they reflect on how organizing can be an outlet for pain and anger, as well as how to go beyond wellness when healing communities of color.
Finally, observe the National Day or Racial Healing by tuning in for a national virtual event at 3:00 p.m. ET hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s YouTube Channel. Missed the initial broadcast? The event recording will live on.
Help our communities heal by marking this special day with us.
