Animals’ lives are on the line right this minute.

John,
Winter is bringing severe snowstorms and temperatures below freezing in parts of
the country. And every year, neglected animals die in these conditions. We’re issuing warnings to areas with inclement weather, alerting residents that allowing animals to suffer and die in the cold is not only cruel, it’s a crime
that may include jail time . Even animals with fur coats are susceptible to hypothermia. If it’s too cold
for you, it’s too cold for them.
To have the greatest impact possible, I ask that you join this effort and please report animal cruelty and neglect whenever and wherever you may see it .
[[link removed]] It could mean the difference between life and death for a dog like Zoe this
winter.
[[link removed]] Zoe is a German Shepherd who was chained outside with no food or water, and
only a plastic crate for shelter in the frigid New York cold. Emaciated and distressed, Zoe chewed off her leg . Luckily, a Good Samaritan alerted the authorities in time. Zoe was rescued,
treated for her injuries, and is now living with a family who treats her with
the love and respect she deserves — and her abuser was charged for his animal
cruelty crime.
That is the lifesaving power that your action can have, so please sign your pledge now to report cruelty this winter and stay on the
lookout for animals in distress.

Animals are abused and neglected all year, in all types of weather and in all
parts of the country, and it will take each of us speaking out to protect them.
Thank you in advance for staying vigilant and taking action. For the animals,
