Today marks the final day of the most dangerous and destructive presidential administration in American history.

But before we move forward we must acknowledge that Donald Trump was not elected in a vacuum. He is definitely a problem, but he is not the problem. Trump is a symptom of the many inequities and systemic failures our nation's leaders continue to enable both passively and intentionally.

Our country was built on the principles of white supremacy, socioeconomic inequality and corruption -- and that’s why Brand New Congress works hard to elect leaders who will fight tooth and nail against these systems of oppression. 

While the incoming administration is promising a return to pre-Trump normal, it’s not enough. We need actual, substantive progress and the Biden administration is already backtracking on some of its promises. We need to hold everyone in power accountable, no matter what political party they hail from. We do that by electing more progressive allies for our Brand New Congress representatives currently serving in Congress. 

Can you imagine a BNC caucus getting impactful legislation out of committee, onto the House and Senate floors and then onto President Biden’s desk? 

We are days away from launching our candidate recruitment for 2022, that said, we are majorly behind our monthly fundraising goal for January.

Every dollar raised will go directly to recruiting, training and electing the largest BNC coalition in 2022. If we wish to have a seat at the negotiating table with the Biden administration and work to achieve the people’s mandate, we must be aggressive in our efforts.
