Dear,

White supremacists used the far-right social media platform Parler to
organize the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol that left five people
dead. In response, Parler was shut down by its web host, and is now only
partially online through Russian servers.(1)

But California Congressman Devin Nunes is demanding that Parler be put
back online, even as the same white supremacists who organized January 6
are publicly planning new attacks at state capitols and
at President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.(2)

First Devin Nunes voted to overturn the results of a free and fair
election, and now he is aiding and abetting further violent attacks on our
democracy. These are clear violations of the 14th Amendment, which states
that anyone who has "engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the
U.S. Constitution is disqualified from serving in Congress.

Devin Nunes must resign or be expelled from Congress immediately. Courage
California is mobilizing grassroots pressure to demand Rep. Nunes’ removal
from Congress by awarding him with a Medal of Treason, presented by more
than ten thousand Americans who have signed on to demand his removal. Will

In less than 24 hours, we will be rid of Donald Trump -- but it will be a
long time before we get Trumpism out of our political system.

To move forward, our representatives must denounce the violence that took
place at the Capitol, as well as stand behind the democratic results of
the Electoral College. Our democracy only works if we agree to abide by
the results of free, fair elections.

But Nunes, along with the six other members of California’s Seditious
Seven, has continued to spread the lie that Trump was the victim of
widespread voter fraud.(3) And it’s that lie that underpinned the Stop the
Steal rally, which turned into a violent coup attempt at the seat of our
government.

Nunes hasn’t said one word against the insurrection at the Capitol.(4)
Instead, he’s been complaining that the extremist social media platform
Parler was taken offline, saying that without it, “Republicans have no way
to communicate.” He’s even calling for a racketeering investigation into
the decision to suspend Parler.(5)

The white supremacist insurrection we saw on January 6 was not the end of
the attacks on our democracy. It was just the beginning, and Devin Nunes
is actively supporting these seditionists.

We’re planning a media blitz to award Nunes with a Medal of Treason, and
we’re going to ensure that no one forgets how Nunes betrayed our
Constitution and supported a violent insurrection that left five dead.
