Jim Jordan's refusal to accept certified election results represents an appalling attack on our democracy. Rather than honor his oath to serve his constituents and defend the Constitution, he chose to use his office to advance his own political ambitions. His willingness to spread anti-democratic misinformation may very well be rooted in the anti-democratic manner in which he came to hold his seat. Jordan was elected in a district so severely gerrymandered that devotion to Trump is the only trait a Republican candidate needs in order to win.
