It’s almost here – Inauguration Day is tomorrow! Maura and our team are so excited to finally send Trump packing and welcome a new administration that will move our country forward. While it’s easy to dwell on all of the villains of the past four years, we wanted to shout out our favorite heroes: Democratic Attorneys General.

 

Sign our card to say thank you to the Democratic Attorneys General

 

Dem AGs were truly the last line of defense against Trump’s harmful policies. They repeatedly joined forces to prevent Trump from executing his plans to gut bedrock environmental policies, to trample on the civil rights of people of color, immigrants, women, and the LGBTQ+ community, and to overturn the results of the 2020 election, especially in key swing states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. And guess what? They won. Over and over and over and over.

 

We’ve seen infuriating failures of leadership from too many of our nation’s leaders these past four years as they shirked their responsibilities, failed to address the needs of Black and brown people, excused bone-chilling violence, and peddled conspiracy theories. 

 

But Democratic Attorneys General are your government, too – and Maura is so proud to lead this group of dedicated public servants as Co-Chair of the Democratic Attorneys General Association. After four years of playing defense, Dem AGs are ready to take a proactive approach and support the Biden Administration and Department of Justice as they work to make our nation more just, equitable, and safe for everyone.
