Thank you to all the people that have offered to stand for us in the upcoming elections. Many of you have asked what this entails.
 
We have received details of a Local Government Association (LGA) event that might be of interest to candidates and potential candidates planning to stand for election or campaign in 2021. 

The seminar is titled Local Elections 2021: Standing for election and campaigning in a COVID-19 context. It is taking place virtually on Tuesday 26 January 2021 from 14.00 – 15.30. It is free to attend. 

There are speakers from the Electoral Commission as well as the Chairman of the LGA.

If you haven’t already registered as a candidate and want to help further, we are looking for candidates to stand for us in May, when elections are taking place at a local level across the country, alongside elections for Police and Crime Commissioners and devolved elections in London, Scotland and Wales. You can apply to stand for us here.
