You saw 4 million children around the world take to the streets last week, calling for climate action. You heard activist Greta Thunberg say her childhood has been stolen with empty words. That people are suffering. People are dying.

Greta is right, Friend. People are suffering -- and most of them are children who need urgent help. They don't need hope, they need action, your action.

UNICEF is not an environmental charity. We are a children's aid organization. And yet, we're fighting on the front lines of the climate crisis daily, as it reveals itself in the form of more frequent and devastating disasters (last year alone, we responded to 285 emergencies in 90 countries), worsening food and water shortages, and in some places -- like Yemen and South Sudan -- looming famine.
