Right now, we are living in very challenging times. Many people are very uncertain about the future and fear for our republic.
As Attorney General, it is my duty to defend the Constitution, protect our people, and enforce the laws of West Virginia evenly. That includes defending your jobs, upholding your values, and advancing the highest of ethical standards.
This will be our best term yet — and it will be sorely needed. Over the next four years, my Office will be called upon to fight against forces which do not share our values or believe in our way of life.
This is a fight that’s very real, with real world consequences.
We must be ready.
Already, fringe forces — knowing of our success defeating federal overreach during the Obama Administration — are on the attack. They are calling for my removal from the Attorney General position because they know about the critical role we will be playing in the upcoming years. They know my Office will be one of the last lines of defense against socialism and federal overreach.
I write to you asking for your support, your ideas, your vision, and most of all, your prayers. We will need your help in the tough weeks and months ahead.
You have been at my side for years. For that I thank you.
Now we have more work to do.
With 2021 upon us, I look forward to staying in close touch with you and keeping you updated about our many efforts to defend America and protect West Virginians.
Keep the faith, friends. We must stay together in our common cause.
Sincerely,
Patrick Morrisey
