Nottingham is a dynamic and popular city which is in an area of high housing demand, with a high percentage of privately rented houses many of which are not adequately maintained. We are determined to continue to improve the private rented sector in Nottingham, to reduce anti-social behaviour and drive up housing conditions. The Council has been successful in attracting rogue landlord funding on 2 occasions. This role will support the delivery of the 3 housing licensing schemes (Mandatory, Additional and Selective) which operate in Nottingham.
We are looking for friendly, helpful and hardworking candidates who are highly organised and have excellent attention to detail. Good communication skills are essential, along with confidence in using IT. In this role you will be required to develop and support projects and wider work to improve the private rented sector.
You will lead on and oversee the delivery of key outcomes to the housing licensing schemes and ensure the project remains on track. This role will deal with overseeing projects to ensure the successful delivery of housing licensing scheme.
We do things differently in Nottingham. We are open to new ideas and keen to embrace new ways of thinking and doing. We particularly welcome applicants from black, minority, ethnic communities and disabled people as they are currently under represented within our workforce.
