As we commemorate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 's birthday today, we recommit ourselves to the hard work of building a California where all people are treated with dignity and respect. Dr. King laid the foundation for much of the work California Democrats are able to do today, from strengthening our civil rights protections to ensuring our right to vote.
Despite the Trump administration’s attempt to undermine these values, we’ve persisted and we’ve won. However, the work is not done, and we are asking you to join us in honoring Dr. King’s life and legacy by giving back on the Day of Service.
Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?”. That is why we are celebrating MLK Day through a partnership with the Presidential Inaugural Committee for a Day of Service, and you can join us by signing up for a volunteer shift. More info here.
JOIN THE NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE » What are you doing to help bend the moral arc of the universe toward justice?
Together, we will continue to work to restore the soul of our nation, and silence those who aim to undermine Dr. King’s mission for justice. We hope you will join us.
In Solidarity,
Rusty
