John -

On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day, we wanted to take today to remember Dr. King by thanking our Democratic organizers and activists around the country for their hard work within the past year.

2020 was one of the most important elections that most of us have seen in our lifetime. Democratic grassroots activists, organizers, donors, and voters came together to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and remove Donald Trump.

And it didn’t stop there. We took over the House, flipped the Senate blue in the Georgia runoff, and impeached Trump twice.

This activism is the foundation of the principles that Martin Luther King Jr preached during the Civil Rights movement. As we find ourselves as a country facing these same injustices as Dr. King faced, we urge our supporters to remember the hard work that we accomplished over this past cycle and keep this momentum alive. Perseverance through activism will keep the values of Dr. King strong through our service and dedication to Democracy.

As we mourn the Black lives lost due to systemic racism that still plagues this country, we must keep Dr. King’s message and legacy alive. Electing strong leadership who care about these causes and their constituents is what will keep our Democracy working for the people, and our voices heard.

Thank you for supporting us, and keeping these dreams alive and active.

Onward,

--Scott & the entire Democratic Coalition Team
