Donald Trump is scrambling to impose a staggering 78 “midnight
regulations” in his final days of office.

Midnight regulations are a last-ditch effort by outgoing administrations
to try and flood the system with so many policy changes, restrictions, and
directives that challenging them and raising awareness about them is
incredibly difficult.

The Trump regulation being challenged by scientists would prevent the EPA
from making policies and regulations on the best studies and science
available. By severely restricting which studies the EPA can use, Trump is
hoping to knee-cap this critical agency on his way out the door.

Additionally, Trump is trying to push through this regulation without a
waiting or public comment period so that it can take effect moments before
Joe Biden is inaugurated.
