Always keep sparklers away from the grill, and bottle rockets aren’t for the kids…

Those are a couple important lessons to remember on the Fourth of July. And they’re lessons I’ll certainly never forget. But they aren’t the most important thing to never forget today.

While we call it the 4th, what we’re actually celebrating is Independence Day, and the freedoms hard won for us by our veterans, and by future generations.

Let’s celebrate today, but let’s never forget the true cost for the party, and let’s strive to be citizens worthy of this gift of freedom.
