As a global pandemic rages, millions are being thrown into unemployment and uninsurance. The cruelty of a for-profit healthcare system can no longer be tolerated. We must make a stand for the basic moral truth that healthcare is a human right!

The DSA Ventura County Healthcare Justice Working Group is fighting to help win guaranteed comprehensive, high-quality healthcare for all Californians in 2021. We’re co-sponsoring this petition with a statewide multi-organizational campaign, decided upon and endorsed democratically within the Healthy California Now coalition. We are calling on Newsom to deliver on his promise and lead on Medicare for All! The petition has already received nearly 10,000 signatures. Our goal is to get 1 million signatures by Inauguration Day, January 20.
