Even after the horrific events of last week, Donald Trump’s local allies are still clinging to his baseless election denial conspiracy theories. On Friday, Mike Lindell (the My Pillow guy) was spotted at the White House with a disturbing memo urging Trump to use “martial law if necessary” in order to stay in power.
Lindell is doing everything he can to establish himself as the standard-bearer of Trump’s awful politics. Earlier this month, he said he is “90 to 95%” certain he will run against Governor Walz personally in 2022, and he already has the endorsement of Trump and the Chair of the Minnesota GOP.
We can’t take anything for granted. Lindell is dangerous and has the ability to self-fund his campaign if he needs to. We need to stay organized.
