In a few days Kamala Harris and Joe Biden will be inaugurated —and a new era will begin. Despite the best efforts of hateful extremists, truth has won. As we prepare for the swearing in of our nation's first woman Vice President, I wanted to take a moment to encourage you to claim your own power and join Emerge to learn how to run for office. On January 19, we will hold a special inauguration edition of our Step Forward training, you can find more information and RSVP below. In the next 15 years, we will work together to build a future where women of the New American Majority — Black, Brown and Indigenous women, women of color, LGBTQ+ women, young women and unmarried women — sit front and center in our country’s leadership. Thank you for being a part of this movement.

This month we’ve seen too many elected officials turn their backs on their communities, which is why it’s more important than ever that we have representatives who will do what’s right.
