What issues do you want our new leaders to tackle first?
Friend –
The events of these last two weeks have been distressing – especially for those most impacted by the acts of violence at the Capitol, including our Black and Jewish communities, and those who live and work in D.C.
We at the ACLU know that we must also be prepared for what comes next. In 4 days, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will be inaugurated. Despite the challenges in front of us, this will still be a moment for change in our country – if we continue to work for it.
Can you take our short survey now about the issues that you want the new U.S. leadership to address in the year ahead? (It's only two quick questions). <[link removed]>

As you know, there is a lot to be tackled by our representatives and the incoming administration ahead. Trump's impeachment trial is still to come in the wake of an attempted white supremacist coup by his followers. And meanwhile, the need for an equitable COVID-19 relief package continues – as does a national reckoning on race that is centuries late.
Make no mistake, the ACLU will be continuing our urgent work across these fronts.
But we also know how interconnected the work to protect other key civil liberties will be at this same time. That's why we've laid out a full list of our most priority issues – from racial justice to criminal legal reform to reproductive freedom to LGBTQ rights and more.
And we need to hear from you next. Take our survey and let us know what you want the new Congress and administration to take on first – for our rights and our democracy. <[link removed]>
