John,
In a moment when our nation is more divided than ever, those of us who believe in rebuilding the soul of our nation must come together.
That's why, in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday and Joe Biden's inauguration on Wednesday, I'm joining with Santa Clarita Democrats and the Westside Democratic HQ to host a food drive for our community.
If you are in the area tomorrow, please drop by on this Day of Service to donate non-perishable food items at a contact-free drop off location. You can find the details here >> [link removed]
With so many in our community struggling with hunger due to the economic impacts of COVID-19, we must do our part to support our friends, family, and neighbors.

I hope you are safe and well this Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. I'll be the first to admit that times have been unusually difficult right now, just 10 days after the attacks on the Capitol. But as Martin Luther King Jr. sagely said, "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."
Yours,
Christy
