Happy Hispanic Heritage Month and National Voter Registration and Civic Engagement Week! This week is a fun and exciting one for us Dems. We'll be having plenty of events to go to celebrate.
This week we'll be having Tony Valdovinos as our guest speaker at our general meeting as a continuation of our Hispanic Heritage Month Speaker Series. Valdovinos is the owner and founder of political consulting firm La Machine and has run campaigns like Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego's. We'll see you all at 3 pm at Discovery Hall 250 on Friday for the meeting
This week's candidate for candidate corner is Aaron Connor for Maricopa County Assesor. County assessors are elected officials responsible for identifying, mapping, and assessing all property in their counties for property tax and other purposes. Connor and his wife live in Phoenix and he has been working in the mortgage industry for 15 years. He'll be at the meeting to answer questions.
The Growth Committee meeting will follow our general meeting this week. The Diversity and Inclusion meeting will follow directly after. We can't wait to see you all at the committee meetings.
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, this Thursday we'll be having a potluck, Taste of Latin America, where we'll all be bringing our own Latin American dishes. Contact us for the location.
