Africa & Europe
- Pray for police and investigators in Ghana as they follow up on trafficking cases identified last year. Pray for each child we know is out there, at risk while being forced to fish on Lake Volta. Pray for rescue and safety to come quickly.
Latin America
- Praise God for the perseverant and fruitful care of survivors led by our national volunteers in Bolivia. Since 2018, IJM Bolivia has trained, mentored and worked with professionals and students who, after learning IJM's model to address sexual violence against children, form multidisciplinary groups to provide pro bono services to children survivors of sexual violence. By the end of 2020, despite COVID-19 challenges, these volunteers had formed 38 groups, worked on 32 cases, including appeals, and have already celebrated 5 convictions! Pray for God's favor to continue over this partnership between IJM and local volunteers, and pray that in this new year their work will continue showing that access to justice, protection and restoration for the most vulnerable is possible.
South Asia
- Praise God for IJM's first rescue operation of the year, which last week freed 41 people — including 13 children — from bonded labor at a railway construction site. These families had been trafficked from a disadvantaged ethnic community and were losing hope of ever being free until IJM and our partners arrived

Pray for their recovery back at home, and pray for strong momentum in all IJM offices as we seek freedom and justice in 2021. Also pray for strong action against the traffickers and slave owners who exploit people in poverty every day.
Southeast Asia
- Pray for the challenges in sustaining relationships with partner prosecutors and court staff in the Philippines. Since the lockdown restrictions, all efforts to touch base are done through phone calls or emails. Pray for our ability to continue building these critical bridges and connections with partners.
