When people ask me what it’s like to see this campaign take off, I return to the same feeling: pride. Pride in Peter and the new, bold vision he has for our country. Pride in this community of staff and volunteers who’ve dedicated themselves to electing him president. Pride in you and in this team, which has shared our stories and powered the campaign through generosity and a spirit of togetherness.

So if no one else has said it today, I will: I’m proud of you.

Now, we’re coming upon our next big test. Campaigns are full of them. This one is the end of the third quarter, which involves publicly filing a report on our fundraising with the FEC. It’s a big deal and influences coverage of the candidates.

Since we raised $24 million in the second quarter, expectations for what we’ll do now are sky-high.

Practically, that support has allowed Peter’s campaign to hire hundreds of organizers and put offices in key early states. I opened many of them myself in New Hampshire! It’s the practical, on-the-ground stuff that wins the nomination. We’ve made an impressive start but have a long way to go. So we’re raising the bar for ourselves: $1.5 million by midnight Monday.

It will help big time as we power through Phase Three of this campaign. More offices! More organizers! More voters rallied to Peter’s bold campaign and fresh vision for our country!
