Fellow Conservative,

This past week, House Democrats impeached President Donald Trump for the second time during his presidency.

As Heritage Foundation President Kay C. James notes, instead of following through on their “promise to unify the country and focus on the future of America,” they pursued impeachment “in an attempt to establish a historical precedent and send whatever signal they want to appease their base.”

This decision will have long-lasting implications for our country as House Democrats chose party over country, divisive politics over unity.

Congress should not have impeached President Trump.

With impeachment, Congress is again focusing on left-wing politics, instead of performing the work of the American people.

What do Conservatives do now?

Simple. We stay resilient, we rebuild, and we prepare for a resurgence.

In 2008, Democrats took the Presidency, House, and Senate.

And in the Senate they had a 60-seat filibuster-proof majority that could ram through almost any policy— that’s how we got Obamacare.

But out of this defeat sprang the Tea Party Movement, which ushered in an era of Republican majorities from 2011-2018.

Importantly, the counter to Obama’s progressive agenda did not come from Washington politicians—it came from local grassroots leaders.

Our opportunity is NOW, as the rest of America will soon look for salvation from a dangerously progressive agenda unfolding in Washington:

  • Liberal nominations to run all the executive branch departments,
  • an end to the Senate filibuster so Democrats can pack the courts and make D.C. a state,
  • defunding the police,
  • and a federal (and Left-wing) takeover of our election systems.

You and I can take a principled stand on every one of these issues, and a majority of America will rally around us in support.

Whoever the Senate confirms to Biden’s cabinet will have extensive and far-reaching power over policy, law, and regulations. People are policies! If we have the wrong people, we will get the wrong policies.

Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s pick to run the Department of Homeland Security, is one such person with the “wrong policies.”

Mayorkas was a principal architect of the DACA program under Barack Obama, and has a checkered past of working the system to give immigration visas to rich and well-connected Chinese nationals.

If confirmed, Mayorkas wouldn’t run DHS—he’d run it into the ground. His priority is amnesty and wealthy globalists, not securing our nation’s border.

Raising objections now is important. The cabinet that is confirmed in 2021, will have vast power over the laws and policies governing our elections in 2022 and 2024. Get ready, we have major fights ahead of us.

Onward,
