John,

The National Marine Fisheries Service has proposed protecting 5,900 square miles of habitat in the Caribbean and 230 square miles of habitat in the Indo-Pacific to protect 12 critically threatened coral species. Your support is needed to encourage the federal government to finalize these crucial protections.

Climate change, habitat degradation, fishing and water pollution threaten these coral species. Critical habitat designation will afford them a desperately needed chance to recover.

There's no time to lose: Warming water and ocean acidification are increasingly putting these precious corals at high risk — along with the spectacular reef ecosystems so many marine animals depend on to survive. Please — let the National Marine Fisheries Service know you support critical habitat protection. Take action: [link removed]
