Friend,

The occupant of the White House took to Twitter this morning to shout racist tropes about me and my bold, powerful colleagues.

On a day when ICE is carrying out cruel raids in cities across the country -- creating yet more fear and trauma in our immigrant communities -- it should come as no surprise that a man who has made it his goal to dehumanize and rip apart immigrant families would so brazenly display the racism that drives his policies.

I’ll tell you this. At a time where the stakes have never been higher, we need the bold progressive voices of women of color in the corridors of power.

We won't be deterred and we won't be divided. I will keep fighting -- every day, right here in the halls of Congress -- for the residents of the Massachusetts' 7th, the district that is my HOME. Ilhan, Rashida, Alex, and I represent 4 of the most diverse districts in America. When you come for us, you come for our constituents and we won’t stand for that.
