This year we need to fight even harder. The climate, nature and health emergencies combined, present us with one of the biggest challenges the world has ever faced. But the good news is that there is still time to turn this crisis around.

Please watch, get inspired and share with your friends, family and colleagues. The more people who join Greenpeace, the more powerful the movement will be as we come together to rebuild a better future.

Please have a look at my email below for more information on how we can strengthen our campaigns to save our forests and oceans and rebuild our future.

Dear John,

Happy New Year! Together, we can start rebuilding a better future.

To find out more, watch our new short video, setting out our vision for 2021 and beyond.

Please watch, get inspired and share with your friends, families and colleagues. The more people who join Greenpeace, the more we can rebuild a better future.

We see a future that's powered by renewable energy. A future where we work in a green economy with greater job security. A future where we enjoy life on a safe, healthy planet full of plants and wildlife can thrive. A future that's better for all of us and for generations to come.

We urgently need your support, right now, to overcome the combined climate, nature and health emergencies.

Millions of people are suffering due to droughts, flooding and crop failures. Precious species such as jaguars and orangutans are losing their forest habitats on opposite sides of the globe. Every day, we are living through a pandemic that has devastated lives across the world.

But there are four big opportunities for change in 2021. These will give our leaders the chance to rebuild a better future. They can do this by:

  1. Investing in a green economy as the UK negotiates new trade deals.
  2. Stopping the reckless destruction of nature at the Convention on Biodiversity.
  3. Declaring a global sanctuary for marine life at the 2021 UN Oceans Summit.
  4. Ending our reliance on fossil fuels at the UN Climate Conference.

There is still time to end the climate and nature emergencies. The solutions are really clear. Throughout 2021, we must tell companies and governments to:

STOP the addiction to dirty fossil fuels

SWITCH to renewable energy and clean transport

SAVE our forests and oceans

If they act, we can rebuild a better future together - now and for generations to come.

Please watch and share our film to help share our vision for a better future. Your support can help us to lobby those in positions of power to take the bold steps needed to protect the planet.

Last year, Covid-19 set us back on vital decisions to tackle the climate and nature emergencies. But this year we must seize every opportunity to rebuild a better future.

Thank you for being part of Greenpeace's million-strong movement,

John Sauven

Executive Director, Greenpeace UK

P.S. 2020 has been tough, but 2021 is full of opportunity. Let's seize this year for all it's worth and help rebuild a better future - for us and for generations to come. Please watch and share our video today.

We don't accept any money from companies or governments so we can be independent and challenge anyone who threatens the planet or peace. To help us keep fighting climate change, defending our oceans and protecting ancient forests, you can become a monthly supporter today. Thank you!
