BREAKING NEWS: The AP is reporting that the rioters that stormed the
Capitol included highly trained ex-military and cops. The Associated
Press:
"...a line of men wearing olive-drab helmets and body armor trudged
purposefully up the marble stairs in a single-file line, each man holding
the jacket collar of the one ahead.
"The formation, known as 'Ranger File,' is standard operating procedure
for a combat team that is 'stacking up' to breach a building -- instantly
recognizable to any U.S. soldier or Marine who served in Iraq and
Afghanistan."

and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not.”
The Washington Post editorial board agrees: "The known scale of Mr.
Trump’s offense already qualifies him for severe punishment, and the
danger he poses to American civic life is too substantial to ignore...The
Senate must convict him quickly."
AOC answers back to Republicans belatedly calling for unity: "There can be
no unity without accountability."
