The Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness (ACEH) and the Anchorage Homebuilders Association (AHBA) will be hosting a town hall forum for Anchorage Mayoral candidates to discuss their perspectives on housing and homelessness in Anchorage.

The 2021 Anchorage Mayoral Candidate Housing and Homelessness Town Hall will take place virtually from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2020.

This is intended to be a neutral platform for candidates to discuss their perspectives and policy goals on the suite of issues pertaining to housing and homelessness in Anchorage. This opportunity provides a forum to share information with the community on the systemic challenges to residential development, housing affordability, and addressing homelessness.

You can learn more about our partnership in the following video: ACEH and AHBA

We look forward to hearing how each candidate would tackle these pressing issues if elected.

For more information and updates, visit the Housing & Homelessness Town Hall Facebook Page

The Town Hall discussion is not intended as a means for AHBA or ACEH to vet candidates for support, or for candidates to compete for our approval.  Our organizations/industry have distinct but frequently overlapping interests in these topics, and agree they are of critical importance to voters and the future of our community. Our goal is to provide candidates for office with a platform to engage prospective voters on issues of great importance and concern to members of our community regardless of their political inclinations.
