Hello Friend,
Several weeks ago, we told you about the incident where Ms. Wilson—a tenth grade english teacher at Heritage High School in Wake Forest—conducted an invasive survey called the "Diversity Inventory."
In the assignment, she asked students to list their sexual orientation, their gender, their disabilities, their socio-economic class, and their religion. Further, they were supposed to list those of their neighbors, doctors, family, and even peers.
In a document submitted to the WCPSS administration, Ms. Wilson acknowledged that the assignment came from something called the Diversity Toolkit <[link removed]>, which was produced by the radical University of Southern California's School of Social Work. The entire toolkit includes the self-stated goal of advancing political social justice, and includes a near exact copy of Ms. Wilson's Diversity Inventory, as well as assignments on students creating gender-free pronouns.
In her document explaining her assignment, Ms. Wilson does not offer an apology for her privacy-invading actions. Rather, she states, "If I had had the opportunity to repeat the activity in another class period, I would have had students write the answers to the processing questions on a separate sheet of paper. The handout was returned to students the following day."

This set of documents from Ms. Wilson also acknowledged that she conducted a second assignment where students drew stick figures of themselves, and wrote down their sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic class, etc. They then walked around the room to reflect their responses.
In other words, this isn't Ms. Wilson's first violation of pupil privacy rights. She has complaints going back to last year, and has conducted at least 3-4 assignments of this nature that have violated her students' privacy.
However, we have also learned that she is not alone! Not even in the same school, nor even the same department. We've recently come to find out that a second English teacher named Ms. Lowe has been conducting the very same stick figure assignments. Just look at their two powerpoints we were given that were used in their English classes. The one on the left is Ms. Wilson's. and the one on the right is Ms. Lowe's:

Although the formats are different, the two powerpoints and assignments are identical. We also know that in a letter from the Heritage High School Principal dated February 2019, he stated after an exhaustive search he discovered this stick figure assignment was being used—and would continue to be used—across the entire WCPSS school district. He also said he didn't have a problem with it, and thought it should have just been done later in the semester.
We now have two teachers, at the same school, in the same department, conducting the same privacy-invading assignment. The assignments are identical, as well as the powerpoint.
While the WCPSS would like to sweep this under the rug, we continue to have questions. Where is this coming from? Are these teachers being given this assignment by the Equity Affairs office? Why hasn't the principal released the contents of his exhaustive search? Why haven't all the parents whose children have had to undergo these assignments been contacted about the possible violation of federal privacy law?
More and more evidence seems to point at the Office of Equity Affairs and their radical agenda to politicize our schools and to train teachers and thus students on the Social Justice Standards.
If you haven't already, we need you to take a minute and conduct this two question survey, and ask your child or grandchild's teachers if they are teaching the Social Justice Standards in their classrooms: [link removed]Â <[link removed]>
Finally, as we work to reveal just how deeply and systematically embedded these problems are, wouldyou consider making a <[link removed]>$100, $75, $50, or $25 <[link removed]>donation today to our ongoing work protecting the privacy rights of parents and children all across our state?? <[link removed]>
