Guns don't belong on the floor of the people's house. Period.
But a week after a violent extremist mob stormed the U.S. Capitol, some Republican members of Congress are pushing to carry guns on the floor of the House of Representatives.
Earlier this week Speaker Pelosi installed metal detectors to stop this from happening, but some extremist Republican members are refusing to comply.
Members of Congress need to be part of the solution to the unhinged violence and division we've seen; not part of the problem. That starts by ending the lies about the outcome of the election and checking your weapons at the door. Add your name if you agree >>

News reports have shown just how close attackers with violent intentions came to gaining entry to the chambers while Members of Congress were still present.
Every elected official who stokes the lies and anger that led to this violence, from the president on down, must be held accountable for their actions.
By refusing to comply with Speaker Pelosi's attempts to secure the House, extremist members are pouring fuel on the flames that engulfed the U.S. Capitol last week and left five people dead.
It's irresponsible, unacceptable, and downright dangerous.
Join me in calling for an immediate end to this outrageous push to carry weapons on the House floor >>
