Texas Legislative Session Begins: Get Equipped to Advance Christian Values

Tuesday marked the beginning of the 2021 Texas Legislative Session and members of our team were there for every minute of it. With lingering concerns over potential COVID-19 exposure, and heightened security in place, the atmosphere in and around the Capitol was certainly different than previous sessions.

Regardless of the environment, our team will be on the ground in the Texas Capitol every day of the session working hard to defend religious freedom, marriage & family, and life. To advance these Christian values, it is important for you and your family, friends, and church to stay engaged with us to get up-to-date information from our daily presence at the Texas Capitol.

Below are some important updates and ways to stay engaged with us:

  • Find Your Legislators – our updated legislator lookup tool will help you find your elected officials at the state, federal, and local level. Just enter your address on our website

  • It is important during the session, and in light of growing social media censorship, to stay connected to us via our email and text updates. Make sure to invite your family and friends to subscribe to our email alerts. You can also signup to get our text alerts by texting "txvalues" to 797979.

  • Learn more about our legislative team and priorities. We will be working to ensure churches are forever protected as essential, the preborn are protected from abortion - including from their very first heartbeat, children are protected from harmful gender modification, and much more. View our opening day video update here.

  • On Monday evening, less than 24 hours before the start of the session, Texas Department of Public Safety announced that a COVID-19 test is required before entering the Texas Capitol. This was a change from earlier guidance that indicated tests were encouraged but not mandatory. Our policy team has put together an updated resource explaining COVID-19 regulations for the House, Senate, and main portion of the Capitol building.

We are looking forward to a productive session for faith, religious liberty, pro-life & family values!
