Last week, the world watched as a violent mob stormed our Capitol building seeking to wreak havoc on our democracy. Now, we must do all we can to bring those involved to justice.

And we must address the concerning reports that members of our armed services violated their Oath of Enlistment or Oath of Office by participating in this violent insurrection.

That's why I wrote a letter to Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller demanding the Pentagon work with federal law enforcement to investigate reports that troops and military retirees may have played a role in this coup attempt.

I'm asking my supporters to join me in demanding a full investigation from acting Secretary Miller. Will you join me?

If any members of our military are identified by criminal investigators, I urge Secretary Miller to take appropriate action to hold them accountable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. They will have disgraced not only themselves, but the uniform we all wore.

Upholding good order and discipline is critical in order for our military to do its job effectively -- and that means rooting out extremists who threaten our democracy and our national security.
