Write to your senators and urge them to vote to convict, remove, and ban Donald Trump from office.

Friend,

After this week’s historic House vote to impeach Donald Trump for a second time, the push to convict and remove Trump now rests with the Senate.

Last year, the Republican Senate majority refused to convict Trump during his first impeachment trial. Back then, we knew that Trump posed an existential threat to our democracy, but Republicans failed to act. This time must be different.

After the 1/6/21 attack on our country, the stakes of this moment could not be more clear. Unless Congress removes Trump and bans him from seeking office, he will continue his unlawful and seditious attempts to subvert our democracy without consequence.

Write to your senators and urge them to vote to convict, remove, and ban Donald Trump from public office.

Trump’s baseless ploy to overturn the 2020 election is an egregious display of his scorn for democratic principles and the peaceful transfer of power. This cannot be accepted as normal behavior by a U.S. president.

His words have weight, and he must face consequences for his actions that incited deadly violence in the halls of the U.S. Capitol. The Senate must do the right thing and hold him accountable — even if the trial lasts beyond January 20.

Impeaching Donald Trump isn’t just about kicking him out of the White House before his term is up. It’s about safeguarding our democracy from Trump’s threats for the years to come. Conviction in the Senate means a permanent ban from him ever running for public office again.

Tell the Senate: Hold Donald Trump accountable for inciting the violent insurrection on 1/6/21 and vote to convict, remove, and ban him from office.

Take action
