Action

We are horrified by the white supremacist coup attempt and, not surprisingly, we recognized many faces in the violence and chaos threatening the American people. Please read and share our explainer thread on Twitter discussing the ties between those invading the nation’s Capitol last week and the anti-abortion movement.

The March for ‘Life’ is urging tens of thousands of people to come to Washington for a mass gathering on January 29, 2021, ignoring the deadly, raging, COVID-19 pandemic as well as residents’ concerns and fears of ongoing white supremacist violence. Sign our petition calling to cancel this dangerous event here.

We presented the Personhood documentary for a general audience screening. Dozens of people tuned into our December screening of the documentary Personhood: Policing Pregnant Women in America. The documentary tells the story of Tammy Loertscher, a woman living in Wisconsin when she was referred to the state for investigation of “unborn child abuse.” If you missed it, please sign up here to receive more information on when we’ll have our next Personhood documentary screening.

A colorful yellow and pink graphic of a person with medium length hair looking over her shoulder at the camera is in the middle with the words: Personhood: Policing Pregnant Women in America. The words: In the interest of Unborn Child and Tamara Loertscher are written in yellow against a black backdrop.

On Our Blog

Erin wrote about how we must hold the line, now more than ever.

Reproaction in the News

Reproaction was highlighted as “one of the most promising organizations in reproductive justice” in this Blue Tent article about reproductive justice groups beyond Planned Parenthood and NARAL.

Erin appeared on To The Contrary talking about diversity in the Biden administration and white women voters.

Erin was also quoted in Vice about the prevalence of anti-abortion activists at the recent Capitol riot.

Quote from Erin Matson in Vice: Anti-abortion agitators have been calling and supporting the president’s call to storm Washington for some time. I know and am confident that, as time goes on and more of those photos are analyzed, that we’ll see more and more overlap between the anti-abortion movement and the white supremacists who tried to overthrow the United States of America.”
