Scholars File Amicus Brief in Support of ED Amid Title IX Challenge

NAS has filed an amicus brief in the Washington, D.C. District Court in support of the Department of Education and its new Title IX regulations put into effect on August 14, 2020.

CAS Opposes California Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum

The California Association of Scholars, a state affiliate of the NAS, is hosting a webinar discussion on Sunday, January 17 about the state’s proposed Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum. The event will feature five speakers, including Grace Li, co-founder of Californians for Equal Rights.

Hertog Summer 2021 Fellowships Applications Open Soon

The Hertog Foundation is now seeking nominations for its Summer 2021 fellowships. Later this month, it will open applications for both virtual and in-person fellowships, including its Political Studies Program. Applications for the War Studies Program are already open. In Memoriam: John E.D. Irving, Jr. 1948-2020

The National Association of Scholars mourns the passing of John Irving, who died on December 13 in Princeton. John worked for NAS between 1993-2013, and for many years served as managing editor of Academic Questions.
